Being one of the biggest local-capital producers in Turkey, Atak Madeni Yag has been engaged, since it was founded in 2005, in passenger vehicle engine oils, commercial vehicle engine oils, motorcycle oils, agricultural oils, marine oils, transmission and gear oils, industrial oils, antifreeze and grease production with its wide product range preferred by the customers who give importance to quality.
Atak Mineral Oil and Grease Production Facility, which was built on an area of 7,641 m2 at Cigli Ataturk Organized Industrial Zone, is one of the most modern blending and filling facilities in Turkey. It has successfully completed EN ISO 9001 Quality Management, EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management, DIN EN ISO 29001 Sector Specific Quality Management System Management certification processes. In addition to providing international standards in production, Atak Madeni Yag, which adopted the principle of developing and offering the best product, continues to develop with the aim of becoming one of the pioneer mineral oil producers that leads the sector in the geographical region where it is located.
The mineral oil production processes carried out at Atak Mineral Oil Production Facility are as follows:
At the production facility, which is entirely managed by an automation system, first a stock equal to the quantity on the relevant base oil production order is transferred from stock tanks to production tanks by entering the data through the automation screen.
After the transfer process, tank temperature settings are made. Tank mixer and tank circulation pump continues to operate until the base oils form a homogeneous mixture.
If the baseblend sample taken by the quality control laboratory is not deemed as "acceptable" as a result of the relevant quality control analysis, the base oil mixture in the production tank is subjected to corrective processes until the unacceptable parameters reach the required values.
In the next phase; additives are added, in order to produce the mineral oil with required properties, to the base oil mixture, which has been previously conditioned to the appropriate viscosity level and deemed as “acceptable” by the quality control laboratory.
A specific amount of additives, depending on the production quantity, is added to a reasonable amount of base oil mixture drawn to the pre-mix tank and then transferred back again to the production tank by the automation system. Mixing process continues in the production tank until the additives and base oils form a homogeneous mixture.
Quality control analyses are applied to the final control sample taken by the quality control laboratory from this homogeneous mixture. The mixture is subjected to corrective processes until the acceptable parameter values are achieved. When the laboratory results indicate that the mixture has acceptable values; the production process is deemed as completed and the semi-finished phase of the final product as prepared.
After the production process, the semi-finished product taken into the intermediate stock tank is subjected to the relevant analysis of the quality control laboratory to ensure that there is no contamination that may be generated from the previous production processes even though the filling line is regularly cleaned before the entry of the semi-finished product.
After the quality control laboratory gives approval for filling process to start, the semi-finished product is transferred to plastic packaging, tin, barrel or bulk filling lines by means of the automation system.
The mineral oils that are filled by the fully automated filling system in 0.5-Liter, 1-Liter, 3-Liter, 4-Liter, 5-Liter, 7-Liter plastic packages, 16 kg tins, 17.5 kg bins, barrels and IBC packages or shipped in bulks, are made available to the final customers both in the domestic and foreign markets.
The lot number that is indicated on each product package and enables the traceability of the product is the identification tag of the product. With the production date and the lot number data, information on which laboratory analyses has been the product subjected to, with which formulation it has been produced and which raw materials have been used during production processes can be provided. At the same time, with the examinations on product packages, it is possible to confirm whether there is a leakage on any final product or not and to put up the final products for sale in compliance with the appearance and packaging standards.

Generally in antifreeze production, almost the same processes held in mineral oil production are applied. The only difference is that different raw materials are used.
